Happy Halloween!

Last night our small group from The Door Church hosted a little neighborhood halloween party.... lesson learned, pass out flyers when hosting said event the day before when it falls on a school night... we had a GREAT time, but wish we would have had more trick or treaters! They surely came, but unfortunately the masses arrived once it was too dark outside for kids to enjoy the bounce house, etc. We did pass out TONS of candy and everyone from our group brought some kind of snack / dessert for adults and kids to grab...

I just am really NOT the best historian, at all... but here are a few pictures of our night...
What do you dress up as when you are 9 months pregnant? Of course... JUNO. BJ had the great idea and played the part of Bleeker. Eleanor, well she was an orange tic-tac to go alongside of the theme.... creative much? Eh, we tried.
Wow... I look frumpy AND huge. Awesome!
When the party started, Eleanor went straight for the ice bucket, where she probably played for at least 30 minutes. She would grab ice, walk around and offer it to us or throw it on the sidewalk. Over and over and over.
That is, until she spotted her pal Leni Kate snacking and she wanted to take part.... Not to necessarily steal her food, but to help her out. Ridiculous. These next few pictures absolutely crack me up.
I am pretty sure that Eleanor convinced Leni Kate to come check out something with her.... I wonder what??
Of course... the ice bucket. We all should have known..... luckily, the real fun started when the kiddos started to figure out the bounce house! Again, love these pictures.....
Eleanor and Joshua, who was the lion from Wizard of Oz... his costume was adorable, but obviously the head-dress was a little too heavy for bouncing....
I know this one is through the netting, but if you look closely you can see the insane smiles on everyone's faces :)...
The bounce house had a slide attached and we wanted to see what Eleanor would think....Obviously, she was a big fan!
So why am I such a bad historian? These are literally all of the pictures that I have... oops on not taking pictures of the food table, of other families in their adorable costumes or of the trick-or-treaters who eventually came. Oops.

All in all it was a great night and we had a blast with our small group and our little punkin bottom! Can't wait for next year when we have two punkins!!!
