Couch Sessions...

So we have this couch in our family room that I have had for over 10 years.... maybe longer. Sure, when I think about the way that I wish my house looked this couch would be history. But that is just it... history is being made on this couch, or at least memories. So while it has milk stains, spit up and the occasional pee puddle from Tripp (it gets disinfected often!)... I love this couch. Who wouldn't when this is what happens about 100 times a day??....  
 
   I mean... look at the genuine JOY in these little one's eyes... they LOVE each other SO much.
 
Can't ask for more than that.

Cheerleading Tryouts

If you have ever been through any sort of team tryout, audition, or interview, you know the waiting period can be a little bit stressful.... and well, that gives you an idea of how the hunt for our reception location has been since our engagement. BJ and I wanted to find a location that we felt "suits" us... so, the search began a while ago, to say the least. Enjoy this process alongside of us: 1. Dallas Museum of Art--who wouldn't want to have their reception here? The Hamon Atrium is absolutely perfect for the bride and groom who like to work with bare bones--slate floors, concrete infrastructure, and a 5 story glass wall with colorful blown glass cascading down. The Sister of Honor...

Its time for our readers to get to know some of our bridal party... and there is no better place to start than with your maid of honor!   For those of you who don't know my younger sister Katie, growing up she was my sidekick, my stage-hand, my monkey that would bang the cymbals if I asked.... basically, if I was the center of attention, she was right there to introduce me, applaud me, or be my partner in crime.   So now as we have both "grown" up, and its time for me to make the biggest decision of my life, it means the world to me that there Katie will be.... right by my side, my-stage hand, making me look better and supporting me as I change my last name once and for all. Crowdsourced Group Gift Guide 2020

Okay, so admittedly I am not a blogger in the sense that I do not actually know what I am doing.... so friends, bear with me - humor me, maybe - as I attempt to simply put all of the amazing ideas that so many people shared with me when I asked about gifts for Tripp, my 9 year old son, this Christmas.  I'll start with this - there are the usual suspects that if they were recommended once, they were recommended a dozen times... and it would come as no surprise, I imagine, that they included all things Lego, Nerf and _______ boards.   But there we tons of other ideas that were honestly new, to me, and I would love to share them with you!
