Play Group invades the Arboretum...

Last Friday, our play group decided that we would all caravan out to the Dallas Arboretum for their Good Friday Festivities.... this included not only the gardens, but a petting zoo and an Eddie Coker concert! So we packed our lunches, loaded carseats in cars and off we went. Leni Kate and Eleanor pretty much thought the car ride was an event itself... they had a ball laughing, playing peek-a-boo and singing the entire way. It was adorable.
We arrive at the CRAZY crowded Arboretum, like park in the back gravel lot, crowded. Good thing we had the double BOB, Tripp's stroller and sunglasses. Right girls?
The whole gang... we look like a stroller brigade. But seriously, I have NEVER seen so many Bob's in my life. I bet there were over 1000 there that day... no lie.
Tripp just being his sweet, content self along for the ride... like every day :).
And Eleanor fulfilling her water police duties... I have yet to go to any playdate or function with Eleanor when she did not play the water / milk police. She likes to make sure her friends stay VERY hydrated.
Walking through the park on the way to the concert... and miss Lucy wanted to literally walk, she did not want to be in the stroller club today. Who could blame her? It was a gorgeous morning and a great day to get some exercise!
This is rare footage. Lucy feeding Eleanor?? That is completely backwards! And I love it (but of course it is crackers).
We went ahead and made a picnic for our group before the concert to make sure we got a spot in the shade... worked our perfectly, I fed Tripp and guarded our spot when the rest of the gang went to go play!
I am pretty sure that Eleanor is telling Mindy "NO" to something here... notice the pointer finger. It is her new favorite thing.
Punkin Bottom was not all that into eating her picnic lunch, surprise surprise.
Sweet boy just lounging around...
Then it was time for the concert!
I am pretty sure Eleanor is telling Tripp to sing along in this picture, some "Woo Woo" song or something like that.
Unfortunately, the concert held the girls attention for about this long. Wah - wah.
Sweet friends...
And we pretty much called it a day right around nap time.... Eleanor, how did you feel about the Arboretum?
We thought for sure these little girls would conk out on the way home, but instead we heard more laughing, more peek-a-boo and I am beginning to think it would be helpful if Eleanor had a buddy to look at every time we were in the car. Can't wait until she turns around so that her and Tripper can have loads of laughs!
