Easter Sunday 2012

Happy Easter 2012! It seems so crazy that last Easter we were telling everyone about Baby Rector #2, and now, Tripper boy is not only here, but he is the most snuggly little four month old cutie. We had a GREAT day celebrating the anniversary of Jesus conquering death once and for all. Thank you, Lord, for your precious gift of salvation... by your wounds, we have been healed!

So, it wasn't necessarily the prettiest of days... so there are a few fails from this Easter: 1. No family picture, 2. No extended family pictures either, 3. Easter egg hunt INSIDE of my house. Oh well...  at least the day was spent with the ones that we love... my parents, brothers and sisters, BJs parents and our dear friends the Litzners (the Rives joined after their family activities).

Tripper Boy's Easter outfit was TOO small (we at least got his pictures taken in the Bluebonnets wearing it) so he was our casual little guy... still pretty cute if you ask me.
And Eleanor just can't get enough of crowds... whenever anyone is over (especially Grandparents) she assumes it is all for her (it probably is) and she soaks up the attention...
My attempt at getting pictures of them together... rarely will Eleanor cooperate anymore, but she is ALWAYS up for kissing her brother and his is always giving this "what the what?" face...
As always, grandparents SPOILED my kiddos with way to many goodies. Eleanor is SO into Mickey Mouse right now and this Mickey Easter card did NOT disappoint....
But when all is said and done, both Leni Kate and Eleanor were all about the goldfish.
Sweet Tripp getting some love from his Paw-Paw...
... and the girls (looking like teenagers here!) still going to town on their goldfish.
Uncle Benny and Tripp had some male bonding while Charlie slept...
And of course, trying to get all three of these little crazies to sit still for a picture just is a little too far fetched.... this was the best shot that I got of Leni Kate, Lucy and E.
Charlie woke up! Beautiful picture of my precious nephew, Auntie Kristen and Uncle Benny.
Look at that RED hair... and boyfriend looks like his Momma!
Then, we attempted an Easter egg hunt in our game room... lasted for a few minutes until the girls opened the eggs
That's when they discovered the marshmallows... that is right, Eleanor's diet pretty much consisted of Goldfish and Marshmallows on Easter (mom of the year?)...
The Marshmallows got the best of Eleanor.
These three boogers are so fun to see play together, but I may have a little bit of a bossy-pants on my hands. Where in the WORLD does she get that from? It is SO foreign to BJ and I (wink).
Truly, such a wonderful day. I just hate that I don't have pictures of everyone else, but we loved spending time with Dot-Dot, Grandpa, Pamie, Paw-Paw, Nanna, Uncle Benny, Aunt Kristen, Charlie, Aunt Katie, Stan, the Litzners and the Rives. So blessed.
