Hawaii 2011 - Day Two....
So... we woke up bright and EARLY the next morning ready to face the day.... after eating a quick breakfast, we knew that Eleanor would love nothing more than to learn the resort had a pool.... and we HOPED she would love the ocean just as much! Nanna and Pa-Paw went and had their own breakfast and we headed to the pool! We may have been the only people down there that early....
And it was a little chilly.... the temperature never did get too warm, so mornings and evenings were quite brisk! Didn't bother Eleanor at all.... she LOVED being in the water!

After swimming for about 10 minutes, Daddy was ready to go to the ocean! So we headed that way to see what Eleanor would think....
Hey, water is water to this little girl... and minus the confused look she gave Daddy when she tasted salt, she LOVED it.
She was fascinated by the sand... didn't necessarily understand that she could walk in it quite yet, but you could tell she was contemplating what in the world was in between her toes :).
And like I said, it was cold and baby girl's lips were turning purple, so we went ahead and wrapped her up in a towel to keep her warm on the walk back to the pool....
But as soon as we got there, she wanted back in! And she swam HARD until her first nap.... which made her nap well :)... meaning Momma and Daddy got to nap too!
After her nap and lunch, we headed to the Pirate Pool.... the resort has a small kid area that Eleanor went CRAZY over.... she loved the Pirate Pool. It was no deeper than 1.5 feet deep and she was a champ wading through the water. She loved seeing all the other kids and even slid down the slide with Daddy....
And LOVED it.

Nanna and Pa-Paw joined us and played with Eleanor a bit in the pool too....
Then Momma took a turn wading in the water.... if you can't tell, she wanted to be in there so much we had to rotate.... she can wear you out, quick!

BJ was ademate that we all headed back to the beach, so that is what we did.... heading down the boardwalk from the Pirate pool....

Eleanor was still VERY much in a Daddy mood, so of course, she wanted him....

And again, the wind on the water made the air just a little too cold for Eleanor, so here she is all bundled after taking a dip... those lips kept turning blue!
We headed back to the Pirate Pool for a little more swimming, then it was time for Eleanor's afternoon nap.... again, we wiped her out!
After naps, we all cleaned up and headed to Kimo's on the water in downtown Lahaina for dinner.... we sat RIGHT on the water and despite Eleanor wanting NOTHING to do with food, out evening was wonderful!
We walked a little bit through the streets of Lahaina and then headed back to the resort to put Eleanor to bed..... after she went down we played a round of Spades (we lost) and then headed to bed! It was a fun, exhausting day in the sun and we had a BIG day planned tomorrow!!!!
