Hawaii 2011 - Day five and six... (sort-of)

So, Momma got lazy with her camera taking skills during the middle of the trip... do I regret it? Of course. Is it surprising? Not at all. Unfortunately, the only pictures I have from either day are from the evenings..... but basically, on Thursday and Friday we enjoyed a whole lot of sun / swimming / beach and morning walks.... Eleanor rotated swimsuits, so pretty much we can imagine what those pictures would have looked like if we just refer back to days 1-4 :).

For dinner on Thursday, we decided to keep it easy so we ate at one of the restaurants at the resort...
Now normally, I think these kind of restaurants are just so-so, leaving me with average hopes for my meal. But Pulehu was GREAT - it was Island Italian, believe it or not and I had a wonderful Butternut Squash Ravioli that was so so good. Top that off with bread, Maui onion butter and macadamia nut pesto and you can rest assured that I was a happy camper. And unhappy camper?...
To say that Eleanor made dinner time difficult would be an understatement for this trip... at home she is always pretty good at eating whatever we put in front of her, playing with whatever toys we bring and sitting for however long the meal takes. Well, not. on. vacation.
Of course she again only wanted her daddy, so BJ had another meal with Eleanor in his lap.... she was loving it, of course...
Then came out the tiramisu... and can you believe it? Eleanor was actually interested in eating now... surprise, surprise! I mean, is she our daughter or what? Will never turn down a sweetie.
I love this stuff!
Afterwards we tried to get a good picture of Eleanor with her Nanna and Pa-Paw... this is the best we got....

Friday night we went to our VERY favorite restaurant in Maui... hands down it cannot be beat - in actuality, I am pretty sure it is our favorite restaurant, period. Lahaina Grill is a MUST when going to Maui, and even though it is a bit more expensive, it is worth EVERY. PENNY. Did Eleanor think so? NO. Instead, she decided to fidget so much that Daddy had to go walk downtown Lahaina as soon as he finished eating while we all slowly savored every last bite. Yep, this picture pretty much sums up her attitude that night....
Don't feel TOO bad for BJ though.... he did clean his plate, and he is the world's fastest eater. AND when we found him he was enjoying gelato, again. Surprise. We headed back to the villa and Eleanor all of the sudden got the hugest rush of energy, so we let her play and wrestle until she wore herself out.
Eleanor gets the BIGGEST kick out of playing on big beds... her favorite is to climb all over the pillows and literally throw herself on them like she is wrestling them. She has the heartiest laugh every time she gets going and can play this game for a long time... hilarious.
We called it a night again and I am pretty sure we were ALL wiped, so followed really close behind Eleanor to bed... nothing like going to bed on a really full stomach. Lovely!
