21 Weeks...

We had a doctor's appointment this week, and it was definitely the most exciting one thus far!! Not only did the doctor say that everything looks great, we had our first sonogram (in about 3 months) that we could actually SEE our little Baby Rector!! Since we are not finding out what we are having, when we scheduled the sonogram it was just to make sure that the doctor could look and make sure that things were developing normally... well, it just so happened that the day we were there, Baby Rector's bottom was faced directly to the camera (hiding the sex) so we got to take a peak!! We heard the heartbeat (150 as always), saw the spine, all 4 chambers of the heart, 10 fingers and 10 toes... and that precious, smushed face!! The doctor then moved the baby a bit and was able to tell what it was, and when we weren't looking told us that everything looks absolutely perfect! What a miracle you are, Baby Rector... we love you! We CANNOT wait to meet you in a few short months.. we

If you are a good friend of mine, heck... if you are an acquaintance, you probably know that I am OBSESSED with marine life. Whales, in particular. Knowing this, you can only imagine my excitement as we headed to Maui because it is WHALE SEASON!!!! The VERY FIRST DAY WE WERE THERE I was laying on my chair facing the water, when all of the sudden I heard a LOUD crash... I look up to see this: KUDOS to my amazing, talented and LUCKY husband who caught this unbelievable shot right off the beach... the whale was literally about 100 yards out off of the shore and was teaching his baby to jump!! Unfortunately, we could not get a good shot of the baby... but let's be honest, this shot is just as good as the Pacific Life Whale . From that point on, I was sold... Maui is my favorite. More pics to come...

Well, we have made it to the halfway point (according to my "due date" we are actually a few weeks past halfway)... but nevertheless... WOOHOO! There are so many WONDERFUL memories that we made this week.... most notably would be moving in to our new house. We are finally in the home that we will start our little family in... and I can't even believe I wrote "finally" seeing as this all happened so fast. I can hardly believe that in about 4 months we will bringing Baby Rector home, here in Coppell, to our little nest. Ours... not something we are renting, OURS!! I can't wait to have the laughter, tears, joyous moments, landmarks, etc. happen in these walls. Also noted, I cannot button my pants anymore (well, I technically can, it is just terribly inappropriate if I was planning to retain any dignity). So, I have purchased the belly band! I obviously don't exactly know how to use it yet, seeing as it is hanging out of my shirt in this picture! Aside of th

We are home from Hawaii, moved into our new house and now are looking forward to focusing on all things BABY!! Because of the setting, I have more than one preggo pic this week... enjoy: A bit earlier in the week when we are on top of the Honolua Bay Mid-week picture on the beach... 19 or 21 weeks, but for all blogging purposes, 19 weeks! We are so grateful for this past week! We feel so humbled that the Lord has provided for us so many abundant blessings that we do not deserve - the opportunity to get away for a week was definitely one of those! The plane ride was very easy (praise the Lord) and my feet and ankles were swollen only slightly and not for long! I know that there was not much to occupy my thoughts, but I truly was able to relax and just enjoy my sweet time of reflection, prayer and preparation for baby, beachside! You know when you go to the beach you become familiar with the other guests throughout the week... it was so fun for them to chart my progress throughout the we

*One of these days, I will take the picture when it is not the end of the day... ha! What a crazy, busy week it has been! Not only is the bump more defined, little "flutters" are happening pretty regularly - BJ even felt one! I am so thankful that I am feeling great - I am happy to report that all signs of morning (ALL DAY) sickness have completely subsided, and have only been replaced with fatigue by about 9:00pm... so, I am in bed most nights between 9:30-10:00pm, no lie. On the issue of clothes... well, I officially cannot button one pair of my jeans (my favorite pair)... and the rest, well, they "button" but it is definitely time to invest in the Bellyband. This week was also so so so exciting for us as we prepare for Baby Rector... we closed on our first house! It is a very surreal feeling to know that we actually have a house that we get to bring our little pumpkin home to; we feel so blessed and humbled by the Lord's graciousness to us. Now, the fun reall
