29 Weeks...

Hello baby! Every day I am more anxious to know... are you a Boy or a Girl?? Inside this envelope... the doctor wrote it... it is off to the seamstress, so I cannot be tempted! I can't wait to hear those words... "Congratulations, it is a ....!!!"

This week your kicks are actually more like "rubs"... that sounds weird, but it is as if you are stretching your little legs and arms out and I can feel them slowly move around my stomach... crazy! It was such an exciting week - we had another sonogram and we got to see your darling little hands, arms and legs... I wish we could have seen a better view of your face, but you were asleep in the birthing position (upside down, head down) so we just got a profile shot (backwards)... you are BEAUTIFUL! You are also getting so big!! You weigh 3.5 pounds already... and we still have 10 weeks to go... so, you can start growing at a slower pace if you would like. Isn't that funny... I am already acting like what I hear moms saying all the time... DON'T GROW UP TOO FAST!! The doctor says that you are doing absolutely perfect - that you look like a healthy, strong baby... Praise the Lord for that wonderful provision... our biggest prayer since the moment we found out about you is being answered right before our very eyes - You are healthy!

We also had the painter come and re-mud the walls and ceiling, prime and paint... I can't wait until the nursery is all put together... I hope it is as comfy as my tummy is for you! The wallpaper for the wall your crib will be on came in today, so next week it will be hung and decorating can begin - YAY!! Grandma and Grandpa Rector bought your dresser for you this week - and I absolutely love it! It is an antique buffet that has so much character... I think it is going to be just awesome in the room - thank you Rectors!!

This week, we are praying GOODNESS over you. One of the vows BJ and I want to make to you is that our love for you will never be determined based on what you do or how you perform... but for only for who the Lord has created you to be. We do pray, however, that your heart would be overwhelmed with the GOODNESS of Christ Jesus and your life would be marked with GOODNESS, virtue, excellence, integrity... The most important prayer we have for you in this would be that you would live your life knowing that with all that will happen, the good and the bad, all is from God and for your GOOD. We pray that you are shaped by the circumstances that come into a testimony of the GOODNESS of our Father in your life. And that as you walk your days on this earth, the virtue you possess will be GOOD, excellent, praise-worthy and an act of worship to Christ.

Psalm 34:7-9
