28 Weeks...

This week we traveled to Branson, Missouri for our last little road trip of this pregnancy... oh Branson, the joy you bring us! While it is definitely the blue-haired, purple hat, fake Vegas capital of the world, it holds such a special place in both BJ's and my heart. Hopefully baby, you will be able to experience Kanakuk as soon as you are old enough (eh hem, grandparents!) One of BJ's best pals got married, so it was fun being there and celebrating with fun kamp friends as our last hurrah out of the city until baby comes!

Mother's Day was also this week.... people kept wishing me a Happy day... and as nice at is, I truly was a bit taken back by it all... even though you are still kicking and squirming all day (I LOVE IT), I don't really know that I am a "mother" yet... well, at least it doesn't feel like it. So I told BJ not to get me anything... and he didn't (bummer). But he did pick up a card while we were at the grocery store and told me to read it... then he put it back, ha! We spent the day in Prosper with the whole Gross clan and had a blast... a new tradition that we are doing every Sunday, so soon enough, you will be in tow for our Sunday dinners :).

In other news, an electrician came to rewire the nursery as we prep for painting and wallpaper to begin... I wish it was just a drop in the bucket, but that was not cheap, and not fun to pay. Oh well, the joys of home ownership!

We have decided that it isn't fair that everyone gets to watch my belly progress, but have never seen BJ's belly... so without further adieu... our pics of the week:

This week, we are praying KINDNESS over you... that you would have a heart wooed by the KINDNESS of Christ that leads you to repentance. We pray that this implanted KINDNESS would overflow from you and extend to the world around you. May you be filled with grace and mercy for others... slow to anger and patient in affliction, so that as your KINDNESS is evident to all, so is the Holy Spirit in your life. May the KINDNESS the Lord fills you with give you true, deep friendships that will last a lifetime. People in your life that will love, encourage and sharpen you in your walk... that you would also offer to them. As the firstborn to BJ and I, we pray that you would be a leader in KINDNESS within our family... especially to your future siblings (Lord-willing). That you would be a great example of this to the world, starting in our home... loving our family well and being a KIND big brother or sister.

Ephesians 2:4-7
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in KINDNESS toward us in Christ Jesus.

Job 6:14
He who withholds KINDNESS from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love KINDNESS, and to walk humbly with your God?

Zechariah 7:9
Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Render true judgments, show KINDNESS and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.'
