21 Weeks

Most of this week was spent enjoy a little down time in Colorado!!! Now, that is my idea of a perfect summer.... hopefully, you will get the opportunity to enjoy Buena Vista, little one... (hint hint!). Although traveling with your big sister and Lucy, which can mean not much opportunity for rest, we really did have the opportunity to just RELAX, REST, and enjoy some PEACE in some of God's beautiful creation that we just don't get to see everyday. It gets SO busy in our every day lives, there are so many weeks where I don't know where the days go because there is always so much to be doing... so being somewhere that we could truly just enjoy one another, enjoy the quiet and take a break from the hum-drum of daily duties was just an absolute treat.

BR #2, unfortunately, that is just the nature of the world we live in... it's competitive, it's fast and unfortunately tries to completely drown out our ability to just be STILL, to REST, to find PEACE in the simplicity. We pray that you truly can cleave to the truth that we LOVE you in spite of what you do, how you perform and what you will become.... we love you because you are YOU. A part of us, created in the image of God.... and nothing will ever change that. In a world where you are, without a doubt, always going to feel like you aren't doing enough, aren't the fastest or best or prettiest... know that you are LOVED and absolutely perfect the way that the Lord is creating you... find REST in that. Find REST that not only do you not have to perform for Momma and Daddy, but that God views you the same way... He simply loves His children because of what He has done, not EVER because of what we do.... our hearts GREATEST DESIRE is for you to be His, chosen, beloved and forgiven.... that you would find REST in His salvation. We love you, BR #2.

If you have ever been through any sort of team tryout, audition, or interview, you know the waiting period can be a little bit stressful.... and well, that gives you an idea of how the hunt for our reception location has been since our engagement. Dallas Museum of Art--who wouldn't want to have their reception here? The Sister of Honor...

Its time for our readers to get to know some of our bridal party... and there is no better place to start than with your maid of honor!   For those of you who don't know my younger sister Katie, growing up she was my sidekick, my stage-hand, my monkey that would bang the cymbals if I asked.... basically, if I was the center of attention, she was right there to introduce me, applaud me, or be my partner in crime.   So now as we have both "grown" up, and its time for me to make the biggest decision of my life, it means the world to me that there Katie will be.... right by my side, my-stage hand, making me look better and supporting me as I change my last name once and for all. Crowdsourced Group Gift Guide 2020
