Eleanor :: Two Months Old

Well Punkin Pie... you are 2 months old!! Yet again, it was SUCH a fast month enjoying life with you... so many firsts, so many funny memories, each day better than the day before.... you, little girl, are just too awesome for words. Call it horomones, I call it LOVE, but there almost is not a day that goes by that I shed a tear or two out of complete and utter JOY you bring your daddy and I. We are just so blessed that by you - it is the most fun, humbling and exciting experience to be your parents. We cannot even begin to put into words how amazing your personality is... during your second month of life, you had a BALL... literally, loving your life!
Can't you tell?? Haha! Okay, okay.... so you have had a few bad days too... you had your first stomach ache about 3 days after your month birthday... you cried all day (and since you never cry, I freaked out)... we took you to the doctor knowing something had to be wrong only to find out that you are just a growing girl... and were having a growth spurt! By the time we got home from the doctor, you were back to your normal, happy little self :).*You weigh 10lbs, 6 oz (40% percentile), you are 23.75 inches long (90% percentile) and your head is 38 cm (30% percentile).... so basically, you are tall and skinny... surprise, surprise!
*You gave your daddy kisses on his 32nd birthday... his very favorite present!
*And you watched your very first football game with Uncle Weyland... you are mesmerized by the colors on the TV... and it looks like you intently watch it, which makes us laugh because since you have been born the TV has been either on tennis, football or baseball... you make your daddy proud! (But don't get too used to the TV... you will not be a couch potato!)
*You had your very first slumber party at Grandma and Grandpa Gross' house! You are still sleeping in your bassinet in Momma and Daddy's room at home... but one weekend your daddy went out to the ranch with some buddies and we headed to Dot-Dot and Pop-Pop's (I just named Grandpa Gross that) house... you slept in the crib wonderfully!! So wonderfully, in fact, as you slept for 7.5 hours straight - good job little girl!*You found yourself in the mirror and you just can't stop staring! It confuses you when you see me and you kind of freak out looking for "the real momma" but you just love to look at yourself!
*Your hair has started kicking up some major curl... you still have a full head of black hair and it is CRAZY... your parts and cow-licks make no sense :).
*Unfortunately, you had your first (and hopefully only) round of some baby acne... supposedly it didn't bother you... but these little pimples really made your momma nervous. They went away within about a week... a long week :).
*Tummy time.... don't be fooled by this picture... you hate tummy time! You normally kick and scream like we are torturing you... but then you find your hand and your world gets right. And the day before your 2-month old birthday YOU ROLLED OVER!!!! We were at the doctor so of course we didn't have our camera, but little girl, you rolled over twice for Momma, Daddy and Dr. Neely!!*You had your first blowout... like, major blowout!! Look at Momma's dress too... it was EVERYWHERE. Your VERY FAVORITE ACTIVITY is still when we change your diaper... you sing sing sing like crazy! Oddly enough, you also love the nose sucker.. you giggle over and over everytime we suction your nose... funny girl!
*You LOVE your swing! But...It always puts you to sleep :)!*When we put your in your carseat, you may scream for a quick minute, but by the time we have you all fastened, you look quite excited for wherever we are about to go... you normally coo or sing in the car until you fall asleep, and once we arrive wherever we are headed you wake up and just look around... all while staying quiet and adorable... you are too funny!
*You like your play mat... and have gone from using it as a place to nap to....

*You LOVE being swaddled and going to bed at night... you just LAUGH and SMILE like we have just given you candy once we put you down (you sometimes just sing and sing, too) for about 2 minutes and then you crash!*And this is how you greet us in the morning.... you are still an amazing sleeper! The longest you have slept consecutively.... 10.25 hours!!! A normal night you sleep for about 8 hours, THANK YOU!
*You are very aware of the camera... quite the ham, you are! But look at that face, the camera loves you!

There is not a person anywhere that meets you that doesn't automatically recognize that there is just something different about you... you are the most JOYFUL, PEACEFUL little lady... and it is evident to everyone. You light up the room whenever you are in it.... and you fill our days with so many blessings... Little Poop, (as daddy calls you), you are LOVED.
