Hawaii...A Day at the Beach!

We are still just under four months away. A great vacation and long awaited rest from the planning. This is how we both see our honeymoon. What a great place to start learning to be married. Hawaii offers some great beaches, mountainous volcanoes, exquisite dining and luxurious resorts where we will spend seven days and nights playing, viewing, eating and sleeping

We were able to receive some amazing gifts that are helping us get to and stay at a resort in Maui. I am not sure how the locals refer to their islands but I think that you are not supposed to call the islands 'Hawaii'. That name refers primarily to the big island. Neither one of us has ever been to Hawaii. After all the world ventures we have been apart of separately we are going somewhere that will be our first new adventure together. I think what we both are really going to enjoy is the beginning of marriage at a place that is new for each of us and where we only have and want each other to rely on. I guess if you think about marriage or get any advice it seems that you need to spend a great deal of time learning about this two becoming one promise. While it sounds like bad math, it actually is great theology. As an earthly picture of the holy trinity, where God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are three in one, so we are in reverse experiencing that to a far less perfect, eternal and significant degree. Nonetheless it is a glimpse.

And for another glimpse take a look at this guy... pretty sweet! So we figure there will be loads of entertainment if we choose to go that route. We probably will not. So, if you are going to want to see pictures of that kind of thing, here ya go! But then again who knows maybe we'll surprise every
one and have a stick of fire that we'll have learned to twirl.
Where we will, no doubt, spend a lot of time is... well yes, but that's not what we're talking about. The beach!! WooHoo! SPF 45 or more for me thank you. Who wants a sunburn on their honeymoon...ouch! Drinks under the sun, laying in the sand and chil-axing by the waters edge. Somewhere there's a Proverb that says, "sleep all day, work all night." All in all we are experiencing a growing love each day. Without looking forward too far, we definitely see how great a marriage can be as two really become one. Whether we learn more about our love through fights, finances, compromise, selflessness, duty or sacrifice we enjoy the process with one another.

I can't see what anyone sees in anyone else.
